Piet-Hein was sworn in as an attorney at law in 1999 and initially worked as an employee at a medium-sized law firm in Amsterdam. After four years, he co-founded the law firm Certa Legal. Piet-Hein has been co-founder of NTSU Fund I since 2011. In 2016, he founded LegalMatters.com and Dillinger Law B.V. Piet-Hein has a passion for the Metaverse, and in 2022 LegalMatters.com opened its office in Roblox.

Work experience

Born in Curaçao, Piet-Hein combined his studies in Civil Law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam with top-level sport. He played Davis Cup for the Netherlands Antilles and “Eredivisie” at tennis club 't Melkhuisje. In 2004, he successfully completed the Grotius Trademark Law course. Piet-Hein specializes in brand protection, trademark law, design law and contract law. He is not only a brand protector but also a brand connector. Piet-Hein was one of the initiators of the successful collaboration between Hub Footwear and DJ Sunnery James.

Field of activity

His clients are diverse and range from individuals, start-ups, scale-ups and top DJs to multinationals. His clients are mainly in the fashion, lifestyle, media entertainment, sports, metaverse and web3 sectors.
